Weekend Getaway at the Beach

I know I missed thrifty tuesday this week, so here is thrifty thursday to make up for it! I’m leaving for a beach getaway with the beau tomorrow so I thought it would be appropriate to do a weekend getaway themed set. I’m in love with metallics right now and this straw beach bag is such a cute way to make a statement at the beach! (it’s extra roomy too). I also love the slide heels from asos because it can easily be worn from daytime to night and the neutral/metallic combo matches everything! Sunglasses and hat are a necessity of course, and these both have a fun printed design! A pair of these beautiful embellished shorts for evening, paired with this open back top from mango is my ideal wear for dinner after being at the beach all day. Or you can also wear a loose fitting dress like the red one if the weather is particularly humid and you just wanna chow down at dinner(add a skinny belt to emphasize your waist if you don’t like the baggy fit). I love this kimono from zara (even though it’s breaking my under $50 rule at $60 bucks), I just had to put it in because it can be easily worn as a coverup by the water or with a little dress for the evening. I love the floral/fringe detail and it fits my boho mood right now. Pants? Weird for a beach getaway huh? But I always need to bring a pair in case my legs got sunburnt or the weather is unexpectedly cooler at night. I love these because of the loose fit and neutral color (I know I always tend to pick neutrals but usually when I travel and have to pack minimally, it’s the easiest color palette to mix and match for multiple outfits). Of course, you can’t forget a bathing suit! This one has a super fun print and is strapless so you don’t get funky tan lines.
