Glamorous Green

Green has always been one of the hardest colors for me to wear. Partly because I’m born on St.Patrick’s Day, a holiday where everyone has to wear green and partly because well…I just never liked it. So when I saw these green pants at Zara, I had know idea what made me want to try them on. I knew I love the fact that they were pants but looked like a skirt. And I’m a sucker for comfort and material and they felt like a dream.

I decided to dress these pants up because green has never really been a feminine color for me.You don’t really think of it as a first pick for evening outfitting, especially this vibrant spring shade. So I decided to offset it with a white blouse with cascading front ruffles that flowed beautifully just like the pants. I added a tropical pastel colored clutch to compliment the green and kept my jewelry minimal.

The necklace I’m wearing is called the Besa by VK Collections and has easily become one of my most worn and loved pieces. You know I love simplicity and this dainty necklace is the epitome of it with just the right amount of sparkle. It can be so easily layered and is still stunning alone.

I came to love these pants even though I still don’t like green. Fashion is about taking risks but I believe doing so without compromising your true style. Here, I took a risk with color. If you’re trying vibrant pants for the first time, whether they’re colored skinnies or skirts, I’d suggest pairing it with simple neutral tops at first. If you’re anything like me and wear too much white/black, a statement color piece like these pants are a necessity that can easily transition from season to season.

Thank you so much for reading! Love, Hanh
